The Maltese registered Company Bulk Malta Ltd has taken delivery of its newly built Panamax vessel, the 76,500 metric tonnes bulk carrier M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE (S5110). The naming ceremony took place at the South Korean Shipyard of SPP Shipbuilding Co Ltd in the presence of Mr Giovanni Delle Piane, President of Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group, Messrs Alberto Gavarone and Mr Mario Mizzi, Directors of Bulk Malta Ltd and other senior officials from the Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group, the latter being the major shareholder of Bulk Malta Ltd. The Panamax vessel M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE was christened by Mrs Giovanna Gavarone.
Other distinguished guests present for the christening of M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE included the Chairman of Banchero Costa Group, the President and CEO of SPP Shipbuilding Co Ltd, the Vice President of the Northern pacific region of the Classification Society ABS, several dignitaries and others involved in the project.
The construction completion of M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE took less than a year at a total investment outlay of USD 38 million. SeaQuest Marine Project Management Ltd was responsible for the project management of the vessel construction whereas Crystal Pool SrL of Italy, the latter also forming part of Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group, has been entrusted with the management of M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE which in turn has been time chartered to Glencore Grain Rotterdam.
M/V HAMPTON BRIDGE is the 11th vessel that Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group registered under the Maltese Flag.
