MT SPINOLA was yesterday released by charterers Mega Tugs Salvage and Towage after the vessel was engaged to assist the motor vehicle carrier mv A. LADYBUG.
The ship suffered failure and instability to operate the main engine whilst bad weather caused it to veer and drift off some 12 NM from Delimara Point. First to arrive in position was tugboat MT SEA SALVOR. Afterwards MT SPINOLA continued to assist the casualty by keeping it in position as requested by the ship’s command.
