Purchasing & Logistics Manager
The selected applicant will be responsible for source selection, procurement and the logistics functions associated with the Company’s needs for materials and services in line with its policies and procedures. Reporting to the Technical Manager the successful candidate will primarily:
Manage the Company’s supply chain ensuring that the stock of spare parts, consumables, fuel and lubricating oils at the Company’s stores and on the fleet are available on a timely basis, at the highest quality and at the most competitive prices.
The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain supplier relationships and be responsible for the monitoring of stocks on board our vessels and the warehouse/store management.
Candidate should ideally:
- Have at least three years experience in purchasing and logistics management and be technically knowledgeable relative to the position;
- Preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
- Have solid analytical skills and computer proficiency; and
- Possess professional interpersonal and communication skills.
IT Administrator
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the organisation’s networks, servers, and security systems.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of hardware and software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the company’s IT landscape.
- Liaise with external IT consultants and the Group’s Chief Information Officer to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, with hands-on familiarity in:

- Network technologies
- Project management principles
Essential Technical Skills:
- Office 365 administration (including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational database systems
- Working knowledge of SAP and HELM platforms
A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field will be considered an asset.
Electrical Technician
The selected candidate will be working within the Technical Department, and will be responsible to carry out maintenance related to electrical equipment on the company’s tug fleet and on its premises. The selected candidate will be expected to rectify electrical faults and carry out electrical modifications on the tug’s electrical equipment.
The ideal Candidate is expected:
- to have a Higher Technician Diploma or Higher National Diploma, related to this field
- to hold Licence A and Licence B
- to be interested and willing to work on mechanical systems, such as but not limited to, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and air conditioning systems
- to have previous working experience in a maintenance organization
- preferably to have experience in the marine industry
- to be able to work in a team
- to be self-motivated and have a sense of commitment
- to be computer literate and ideally familiar with ACAD
- to have a valid driving licence
Marine Fitters
Tug Malta Ltd is looking for skilled Marine Fitters to join our dynamic team. If you have hands-on experience with diesel engine overhauls and marine equipment maintenance, we want to hear from you!
As a Marine Fitter, you will be part of the Technical Department, whose mission is to efficiently and sustainably manage the maintenance, repair, and modifications of all tugs within our fleet and their respective equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overhaul and maintain diesel engines and other marine systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine vessel equipment.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements:
- A solid technical background, ideally with both qualifications and practical experience.
- Proven experience in diesel engine overhauls, preferably in a marine environment.
- Strong knowledge of marine vessel maintenance processes.
- Experience with Caterpillar engines will be considered a valuable asset.
- Basic knowledge of troubleshooting electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Technicians with a wide variety of skills related to marine maintenance will also be considered an asset.
